Objectives of the Library BLOG.
- To introduce learning activities that foster in students the abilities to select, retrieve, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, create and communicate information in all format and in all content areas of the curriculum.
- To develop learning resources and activities that accommodates differences in teaching and learning styles, methods, interests, and capacities.
- Supporting and enhancing the educational goals as outlined in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan’s mission and curriculum.
- Be the knowledge of the school and disseminate the knowledge as widely as possible.
- Provide a curriculum based, open access learning environment that accommodates all learners.
- Facilitate creation of new knowledge
- Facilitate optimal use of knowledge by all staff and students
- Encourage and foster reading habit among the staff and students.
- To remain technologically advanced and updated
- Effectively participate in teaching learning programme of the school.
Library Period: According to the school time table the students of Class VI-XII can visit the library for the issue and return of the books during their library periods. They can refer books and participate in library activities during this time.
Issue/ Return : Students can issue 02 book for a period of 15 days and staff members can issue maximum 05 books for a period of 30 days.
Class Libraries: Class libraries are functioning for classes I to V.
Open Access and Classification: The library follows an open access system. The books are classified subject-wise as per DDC classification scheme and shelved accordingly.
Library Automation: The stock and services of the library are automated powered by e-Granthalaya software provided from National Informatics Centre, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.
